Mumbai: 64-Year-Old Businessman Booked For Drunk And Reckless Driving In Andheri
The DN Nagar police have booked a 64-year-old businessman for allegedly driving a car in a reckless manner in the wee hours of Thursday. The accused, Sanjay Desai from Borivali West, was caught around 3.00 am during a nakabandi at S V Road near the Gokhale bridge, Andheri West. The on-duty cops observed a car being driven recklessly at high speed.

Mumbai: The DN Nagar police have booked a 64-year-old businessman for allegedly driving a car in a reckless manner in the wee hours of Thursday.
According to the police, the accused, Sanjay Desai from Borivali West, was caught around 3.00 am during a nakabandi at S V Road near the Gokhale bridge, Andheri West. The on-duty cops observed a car being driven recklessly at high speed.
After stopping the car, the personnel questioned Desai and became suspicious due to the smell of alcohol from his mouth. He was brought to the police station and a breathalyser test revealed that he was intoxicated, with 167.9 milligrams of alcohol in his body, much more than the permissible limit, said the police.
The senior citizen has been booked under section 185 (driving under the influence of alcohol or drugs) of the Motor Vehicles Act along with provisions 125 (act endangering life or personal safety of others) and 281 (rash driving or riding on a public way) of Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita.
