Mirzapur: 4 Youths Arrested For Brutally Beating Elderly Man In Middle Of Road; Shocking VIDEO Surfaces

Mirzapur (Uttar Pradesh), February 18: A shocking video has surfaced on social media in which it can be seen that an elderly is being brutally thrashed by three to four youths in the middle of the street in Uttar Pradesh's Mirzapur. The incident was caught on camera and the video of the incident is doing rounds on social media. The police acted swiftly after the video went viral on social media and arrested four youths involved in the crime.

The incident occurred in the Sadar Tehsil area in Mirzapur on Tuesday (February 18). The viral video shows that three to four youths are beating an elderly man in the middle of the street outside the Tehsil office. The incident was recorded by one of the onlookers and shared on social media. The video has since gone viral on the internet.

The victim who has been identified as Raja Ram Bhuj was severely injured in the assault. It can be seen in the video that the youth are beating him with slaps and punches repeatedly. His clothes were also torn in the fight.

The victim reached the Kotwali City Police Station and registered a written complaint in connection with the matter. The police has registered an FIR and initiated an investigation into the matter. They have arrested the four people accused in the physical assault of the elderly man.

Police Statement

The police issued a statement after arresting the accused. They said, "Based on the complaint of the injured party in connection with the viral video of assault at Police Station Kotwali City Mirzapur, a case has been registered under relevant sections at Police Station Kotwali City and four persons related to the incident have been arrested and further legal action is being taken."

In a Press Note, Mirzapur Police said, "On February 18, 2025, in connection with a viral video of a physical assault in the Kotwali City Police Station area of Mirzapur, a case has been registered based on a written complaint by the injured party, Raja Ram Bhuj, son of the late Musairam."

It further said, "A case under Sections 115(2)/352/351(2) BNS and 7 CLA Act has been filed at the local police station. Following the directives of Senior Superintendent of Police Somen Verma and under the supervision of City Circle Officer, four accused individuals involved in the attack have been arrested: Amrit Lal Bhuj, son of Jamuna Prasad, Aman, Arjun, Harsh, sons of Amrit Lal, residents of Mahuwaria Vishwakarma Colony. Appropriate legal action is being taken against them."
