Richa Chadha schools journalist who mistook her husband-to-be Ali Fazal for Pakistani actor-singer Ali Zafar
The wedding is set to take place in Mumbai in an intimate ceremony with close family and friends and will have two grand receptions

Actors Richa Chadha and Ali Fazal are all set to tie the knot with their wedding finally taking place this month.
The couple will kick start their wedding celebrations in Delhi on September 30, and conclude in Mumbai on October 7.
The wedding is set to take place in Mumbai in an intimate ceremony with close family and friends and will have two grand receptions for Delhi and Mumbai on October 2 and October 7 respectively apart from other celebratory events.
As the news hit social media, a journalist took to Twitter and mistakenly tagged Pakistani actor-singer Ali Zafar instead of Ali Fazal. The tweet was later deleted.
Reacting to the same, Richa replied, “Ali Zafar is a Pakistani singer/actor, who is already married.”
After many delays owing to the pandemic and commitment of shoots, the actors who were originally set to marry in April 2020, had their wedding delayed a few times over owing to the ever-evolving situation of Covid-19, and the duo were busy with commitments of shoots of projects they have been tied to.
The couple met on the sets of 'Fukrey' in 2013 and after dating for a few years, Ali proposed to Richa in December 2019 on her birthday during their vacation in the Maldives.
Meanwhile, on the work front, Ali will next be seen in Netflix's 'Khufiya' directed by Vishal Bhardwaj. The film is based on the novel 'Escape to Nowhere', written by the ex-chief of the Counter Espionage Unit of R&AW, Amar Bhushan. It takes the viewers on a journey of a R&AW operative, Krishna Mehra, who is assigned a crucial mission that leaves her juggling between her dual identity as spy and lover. Ali will feature alongside Tabu, Ashish Vidyarthi, and Wamiqa Gabbi.
He also has the web series 'Mirzapur' season 3 and another Hollywood flick, 'Kandahar' where he will be sharing the screen with Gerard Butler.
On the other hand, both Richa and Ali have wrapped the third installment of the comedy buddy franchise, 'Fukrey'. The film, which brings back the original star cast along with the director, Mrigdeep Singh Lamba on board, has been produced by Farhan Akhtar and Ritesh Sidhwani-owned Excel Entertainment. It is slated to release in 2023.
