Bollywood actor Akshay Kumar on Wednesday broke the Guinness World record for most selfies taken in three minutes during a meet and greet with his fans in Mumbai.
Akshay, who is busy with the promotions of his upcoming film Selfiee with co-star Emraan Hashmi, is now the Guinness World record title holder for this special feat with 184 selfies.

Akshay said he is 'ecstatic on breaking the record and sharing the special moment with his fans. "Everything that I have achieved so far and where I am at this moment of my life, is due to the unconditional love and support of my fans everywhere. This was my way of paying a special tribute to them, of acknowledging how they have stood by me and my work in my entire career," the actor added.
The actor also grooved with his fans on the song Main Khiladi Tu Anari and posed with paparazzi.
The actor broke the previously held world record of 168 selfies taken in three minutes by James Smith (USA) aboard the Carnival Dream cruise ship on January 22, 2018. In 2015, Hollywood actor Dwayne Johnson held this record with 105 selfies in three minutes at the premiere of San Andreas in London.
About Selfiee
The film is an official remake of the Malayalam film 'Driving License'. It will see Akshay play a superstar and Emraan will essay the role of a traffic cop in the film. The story kicks off when Emraan's character will be seen asking Akshay for a selfie and when he refuses, the fan decides to teach the superstar a lesson.
'Selfiee' is produced by the late Aruna Bhatia, Hiroo Yash Johar, Supriya Menon, Karan Johar, Prithviraj Sukumaran, Apoorva Mehta and Listin Stephen. It is set to release in theatres on February 24. Selfiee also stars Diana Penty and Nushrratt Bharuccha.
