Alia Bhatt to recreate Sridevi's Chandni look for Rocky Aur Rani Ki Prem Kahani's romantic song

Bollywood actress Alia Bhatt will next be seen on the big screen in Karan Johar's 'Rocky Aur Rani Ki Prem Kahani'. The film, which is in its last leg of shoot, is all set to release on July 28, 2023.

A few days back, director Karan had hinted at shooting a romantic song for the film, which is a homage to one of his 'favourite filmmakers'.

Alia Bhatt to recreate Sridevi's Chandni look?

According to a report in Bollywood Hungama, Karan is also planning to recreate a scene from Yash Chopra's blockbuster film Chandni which starred late actors Sridevi and Rishi Kapoor in the lead roles.

The report stated that Alia's character in Rocky Aur Rani Ki Prem Kahani is a fan of Sridevi and she will shoot a song for which ace designer Manish Malhotra has designed a chiffon saree look, which is similar to Sridevi's look in Chandni. The romantic track is reportedly composed by Pritam.

Sridevi's all-white dresses and chiffon sarees started a fashion revolution after Chandni released in 1989. The actress looked ethereal in the all-white churidar set in one of the most romantic scenes in Chandni. Her other outfits and sarees also became a trend in no time.

About Rocky Aur Rani Ki Prem Kahani

The film will see Karan returning to the director's chair after a hiatus of nearly six years. Besides Alia and Ranveer Singh, the film also stars veteran actors Dharmendra, Shabana Azmi, and Jaya Bachchan.

The film brings a new generation family drama with a sensual love story on board.
