Jabalpur Man Kidnapped, Beaten Over Old Dispute; Hair Chopped By Attackers

Jabalpur (Madhya Pradesh): A man was allegedly kidnapped and beaten by a group of men in Jabalpur on Tuesday. The accused forcefully chopped a section of his hair too!

The incident took place in Jabalpur's Gulaoa Chowk area.

The victim, identified as Ravi Sondhiya, stated that he was on his way to buy medicine for his mother with a friend when a car suddenly stopped near them.

According to Ravi, several men stepped out, forced him into the vehicle, and drove him to a deserted area without any explanation.

Ravi said that once they reached the spot, the men began to beat him brutally. He was punched, slapped, and pushed to the ground.

The assault didn’t stop there — Ravi claimed the attackers took scissors or a blade and cut his hair as a form of humiliation.

He added that the attackers knew him and that the incident may have been the result of an old personal dispute.

After the attackers left him, Ravi managed to return and went straight to the police station. He filed a written complaint and provided the names of some of the individuals he recognised during the assault.

The local police have confirmed that they have begun an investigation into the matter.

Officials said they are reviewing CCTV footage from the surrounding areas and gathering evidence. Action will be taken once all facts are verified.
