Video of toddler with no limbs playing in park is inspiring everyone from Anand Mahindra to Amitabh Bachchan

The internet is filled with inspiring videos, but some of them are extremely difficult to watch. And the most recent one will tear you up and make you reflect on your issues is of a toddler with no limbs playing in a park. The video of a young boy climbing up the stairs of a slide and finally enjoying the ride down has touched everyone from business tycoon Anand Mahindra to Megastar Amitabh Bachchan. This video is undoubtedly one of the most inspiring things on the internet, and the mother’s continued voice of support and motivation and the young boy’s determination makes this video absolutely phenomenal.

In his tweet, the Mahindra Group’s Executive Chairman says he at first couldn’t watch the video but when he did, he was ‘left feeling uplifted’. “I don’t think I will ever complain again about any job being too hard,” he says on Twitter. Chances are, you’ll feel the same too. The tweet is going viral and has already collected over 26,000 ‘likes’ and more than 16,000 retweets since being posted some 16 hours before writing this. If there’s one thing you watch today, this video is what you must see. On the other hand, Amitabh Bachchan wrote, “so so inspiring .. was so disturbed in the beginning .. but do not miss the encouragement of the Mother ..  takes a lot, to do so”.

The mother, who is shooting the video, constantly encourages the brave little boy, egging him on to climb the steps, one at a time and relying only on himself. The child, on his part, cheerfully does so, while his sister continues to play on the same ride. When the mother asks him if he needs some help, he confidently refuses and continues to climb, on his own.

Interestingly, in a time and era where we find every small obstacle to be a road block and get de-motivated by the smallest of problems, this video is really inspiring to another level. From the young boy’s persistence on climbing the stairs by himself to his joy at finally having earned the fun of sliding down the slope, the video innocently summarises life in the most beautiful way possible.
