India-origin man in US indicted for bribery

WASHINGTON: An Indian origin man in the US has been indicted on charges of soliciting and accepting bribes while serving as a government employee. The charges against Anuj Sud, a former Prince George’s County Liquor Board Commissioner, were announced by federal authorities and police earlier this week, Hyattsville Patch news portal reported on Thursday.

Sud is charged with two counts of bribery, for each of which he faces a maximum prison sentence of 10 years.
