Mera Woh Matlab Nahi Tha…

What: Mera Woh Matlab Nahin Tha… is a play written and directed by Rakesh Bedi about two lovers, featuring Anupam Kher as Preetam Kumar Chopra and Neena Gupta as Hema Roy, who drifted apart for no apparent reason. They meet 35 years later, in the autumn of their lives and try to discover the truth behind their separation. It is not a love story, but a story about relationships, misunderstandings and awkwardness in dealing with the truth, the play enthrals audience keeping them in a web of wit and a range of emotions. Mera Woh Matlab Nahin Tha engages you within a web of tenable emotions, wit and tickling humour.

The Siddhus of Upper Juhu

What: A play about everyday problematic issues of faced by a Mumbaikar features Rajit Kapur, Shernaz Patel. Directed by Rahul da Cunha portrays story of Balvinder aka Bubbles Siddhu, a 50-year-old well-paid financial executive, and his loyal Parsi wife, Behroze, live on the 14th floor of a typical modern Upper Juhu aka Andheri hi-rise called Sea View Towers. In spite of having poured their life savings into this 2.5 BHK flat in Mumbai, everything civil and civic seems to go wrong.

Growing interest and enthusiasm amongst the audiences of all ages to attend concerts featuring Morning Ragas presented by Prithvi Theatre and Pancham Nishad with Soulful flute performance by Rakesh Chaurasia, one of the most promising musicians of the current generation and has carved a niche for himself as an accomplished flautist. Incorporating the tradition of his renowned uncle and infusing his personal style, he has evolved a style which while maintaining the purity of the flute manages to capture the attention of the young listeners too.

Kailasa – Live in Concert

What: A musical concert that will feature one of the biggest sufi singers, Kailash Kher, the Indian pop-rock and Bollywood playback singer with an unique music style influenced by Indian folk and Sufi music. Kailash is a prominent singer in Hindi, Punjabi, Tamil, Telugu, Kannada, Odia, Urdu and Rajasthani languages. Kailash Kher will be presenting a classical, ghazal and sufi concert with the upcoming talent Surfira. The event is presented by Perfect Harmony Productions.

 What: Talk to me is an experimental stand-up comedy show performed by Daniel Ferandes where he is not allowed to use pre-written material but must improvise comedy on-the-spot by talking to the audience. When you are the set up and the punchline, it’s the most inclusive comedy show around.

Dirty @ 8:30

What: A stand-up comedy show featuring Hijas Moosa, Reza Noorani and Anand Reghu will speak about our world which is full of compulsive political correctness and push-button chauvinism, where people are becoming too uptight for their own good. But it is still a free country. So with fair warning and due diligence, they have decided to put up one hour of the raunchiest no-holds barred comedy out there in a show unapologetically titled Dirty@8:30, promises to be a good old fashioned slugfest. Leave your worries and Sanskaar at home for a carefree Sunday evening.
