What: It’s that day of the year we celebrate our biggest strength, Mothers and what better way todo it than a free yoga session to relax and rejuvenate at the beach. ​

Start your day with setting​ your mat aside and dig your toes deep into the sand. Align your breath to the sound of waves and inhale-exhale fresh air as you move through an energy boosting yoga asanas. A perfect way to keep fit and relax this Mother’s Day!​ Taught right on the beach shore by Shweta Dsouza, RYT​. Follow as she takes you through an Ashtanga practise with a splash of fitness and mindful meditations. A class planned and structured to give you a full body and mind workout infusing energy and good vibes.

Celebrate Mother’s Day, Mother’s Recipes’ way!

What: Share the warmth of this special Sunday with kids who are deprived of this beautiful blessing called Motherhood. Mother’s Recipe urges women from across the city to give the give the taste of Mother’s love to the children living in orphanages at Anand Kendra and Vatsalya Foundation Spread love by spending some precious time dancing, singing, eating and rejoicing with kids, just like you would spend with yours. For its third edition, Mother’s Recipe has partnered with four Orphanages across Mumbai and Delhi for this touching initiative. The intent is to make Mother’s Day memorable and enriching for both mothers and the kids.

Mesmerizing Mother’s Day at JW Marriot

What: The contemporary, all-day dining multi cuisine restaurant would offer a Special Mother’s Day Brunch. The brunch would bring to the table a wide range of cuisines such as Indian, Japanese, Thai and Italian with live counters. This brunch will also serve Lobster, Sole, Norwegian Salmon, Chicken Roulade, Sous Vide Duck Leg, Cajun Spiced Lamb Chops at their Seafood & Meat Grill station. Varied Choice of Chaat such as Kacchi Dabeli, Chocolate Golgappe, Kanpuri Tikki Chaat, Kone-Paneer Panki will be a part of this brunch. There will be an array of options that will leave the guests spoilt for choices. Kids’ happenings will include an array of art & craft activities including making cards and creating fun certificates for mothers!

The Little Prince

What: A novella by Antoine de Saint-Exupéry, The Little Prince is a poetic tale, with watercolour illustrations by the author, in which a pilot stranded in the desert meets a young prince fallen to earth from a tiny asteroid. The story is philosophical and includes social criticism, remarking on the strangeness of the adult world. Though styled as a children’s book, The Little Prince makes several observations about life and human nature. Play is directed by Akriti Singh & Ashish Choudhary and it features Ashish Choudhary, Graham D’Souza, Devi Giannetti, Sharayu Nirbhavane & others

Marriage-Ology

What: Marriage-ology is an exploration of the idea of marriage through eight scenes. It’s sometimes hilarious, sometimes poignant, sometimes scathing, but always insightful. Marriage-ology draws upon popular music, Deccani performed poetry, classics from theatre and literature, and contemporary theatre writing to create a charming and exciting collage.  The play is directed by Sunil Shanbag and Sapan Saran and it features various theatre artists like Ankur Ratan, Avantika Ganguly, Dilip Pandey, Palomi Ghosh and many more.

Aarohi- A festival of rising stars

What: “Aarohi” a unique event featuring the promising faces of Indian Classical Music. Aarohi a two-day festival is now in its 16th year, is an annual event since year 2002, is a distinctive concept of featuring the rising stars of “Hindustani & Carnatic Sangeet”. The objective of the festival is to introduce fresh and unknown faces, yet immensely talented and refined youngsters of Indian Classical Music. The event brings forth, this bundle of talent on a common platform to give the music lovers a glimpse of the bright future of the Indian Classical Music.

Thoda Saaf Bol

What: One of the funniest guys in the Indian stand-up comedy scene is ready with one hour of new jokes, observations and never-minds in his new special unceremoniously titled Thoda Saaf Bol.
