The International Clown Festival

What: Kids, teens, boys and girls, mummies and daddies will all be thrilled and excited as Flubber- the renowned International clown artist from India is back with his new and exciting edition of The International Clown Festival. With the onset of the festive season, Timmyto, Benji, Sparky, Maggie and Flubber will make you laugh, squeal and giggle with their interesting acts, skills and clowning at the show, ‘Clowns that Ran away from the Circus’. The show is about how Flubber and his international clown friends run away from the circus and a whole bunch of fun begins with unicycling (regular and giraffe), slapstick, comedy, juggling, stilt walking, balancing, face painting, balloon twisting, magic, comedy skits and more. Entry: Free.

Aqua Life Exhibition etc-week-attend-aqua

What: After the success of exhibitions for more than 6 years in various parts of the country, the “Aqua Life” is back again in Mumbai with biggest ever collection of Aqua Life and Marine Special show. The exhibition will have more than 200 fish tanks and about 800 species of fish on exhibition with live coral reef set up for the first time in India. The objective of this exhibition is to quell the curiosity about the rare species of fish and other animals from the aqua life and also to inculcate love for the aqua life among youngsters. Entry fee: Rs 80.

Mumbai Local – An Epic Retold: The Puppet and Presence

What: Puppetry is such an exciting and imaginative art form. And Indian mythology is such a treasure-chest of stories. Put the two together, and you’re sure to witness something spectacular! Just imagine the Mahabharata being played out in puppetry. The story unfolding, not through a human body but a manipulated puppet’s form. The characters are not living actors, and yet they come alive. Entry Free with Museum ticket.

What: Bring out your inner nerd by joining this fun workshop and learn how to create your own comic book presented by Alto Mumbai Comic ConThe workshop will focus on how Abhijeet Kini as a comics creator goes about creating the comics, right from ideation to script to art. It will be an interactive session covering the various aspects of comics creation, story writing, development and more. Abhijeet Kini will take the fans through the insights from his own comics like Angry Maushi and his work for Tinkle. There will be a short slideshow that he will be showing the attendees, after which they will all be working on a short comic of their own. Homos Odyssey at QFest: Stand-up Comedy

What: Nick Pillow and Navin Noronha are all set to take you on an hour-long journey into what it’s like to live outside the ominous closet. Being gay in India can be a challenge and these men know exactly what it feels like. They have taken their material all over the country and are now ready to touch base in Mumbai. This is India’s first LGBT-themed comedy special and it’s going to get down and dirty. Entry Fee: 300
