Soz – A Ballad of Maladies

What: NCPA in collaboration with the Indian Documentary Producers’ Association (IDPA) presents Soz – A Ballad of Maladies. In a journey through the metamorphoses of Kashmir’s traditional art practices such as traditional poetry and Sufiana mosuqi into its contemporary arts of resistance such as hip hop, the film unfolds a transformed cultural fabric of the valley. The film is a glance into the collective memory of a people and the expressions of its history to understand the emerging voices of resistance and their resonance in the world’s most militarised zone.

Comic Battle: Mumbai vs Kolkata

What: In this edition of The Comic Battle, two stand-up comics take the stage one-by-one at The Cuckoo Club and who will land the knockout punch is anybody’s guess. Representing Mumbai are Pavitra Shetty and Kautuk Srivastava, who will take on Kolkata boys Anirban Dasgupta and Utsav Chakraborty as they perform their comedy routines in their respective styles. Hosted by Bhavish Ailani and also featuring Rueben Kaduskar. No matter who’s side you’re on, this is not a comedy exhibition you want to miss. Entry: Rs 400.

What: Chalta Hai Comedy brings together actor Naveen Polishetty, the face of hit AIB videos such as Honest Indian Weddings and the hit TV series 24 and writer Kautuk Srivastava, of SnG Comedy for an evening with their second muse, stand-up comedy. Almost Famous but really funny, these two artists will bring their best material and most tragically hilarious stories of fleeting stardom for a one-hour special show. The ticket includes a craft beer from The Barking Deer’s house brews or a Mocktail of your choice. And extended Happy Hours on the house brews and select liquor till 9:30 PM exclusively for the audience.
