Ujjain: Congress corporators led by leader of opposition, Rajendra Vashishtha have put forward a strong protest against the allotment of additional funds in the budget for the year 2017-18.
During a meeting with Ujjain Municipal Corporation commissioner, Ashish Singh, he complained that an amount of Rs 7.5 crore had been sanctioned to mayor Meena Jonwal and Rs 5 crore to speaker Sonu Gehlot, for different development works in the city. Congress corporators also said the current financial conditon of UMC was not very encouraging and thus such extravagance was not jusfiable.
