Ujjain: Sindhi community chalks out programmes for ‘Chetichand’

Ujjain: The Sindhi community in Ujjain have chalked out programmes to celebrate their most awaited festival Chetichand on March 29, on Sunday.

Twenty-two panchayats of the community unanimously agreed to celebrate Chetichand together. On this occasion, a vehicle rally will be held out by women using 150 cars while men will use two wheelers during the rally. 22 food stalls will also be set up on this occasion.  The rally will parade a huge idol of the deity Jhulelal from Sindhi colony square via Tower Chowk, Malipura, Naisadak, Kanthal, Satigate and Ramghat. Shiva Kotwani, Doulat Khemchandani, Mahesh Sitlani, Deepak Belani, Santosh Lalwani, Mohan Waswani and other community members were present during the meeting.
