Ujjain: Scuffle over inaccuracies in answer sheet evaluation

Ujjain: National Students Union of India (NSUI) president, Ayush Shukla protesting against inaccuracies in evaluation of answer sheets, is reported to have got into a scuffle with the department’s coordinator BK Mehta on Wenesday, after he entered the restricted and confidential department of the University.

As per the information, Ayush Shukla came to the department to register a complaint on misevaluation of answer sheets of some students of the Bachelor of Science (Bsc) course who had received zero marks in their answer sheets. The students found inaccuracies in checking, which was brought to the notice of Mehta.

The discussion turned into an heated argument between the two, following which the staff of the confidential department stopped work protesting against Shukla’s behavior. Madhav Nagar police authorities and registrar Parikshit Singh reached the University and took the control of the situation .

NSUI members also demanded reopening of the online link for application forms of semester examinations. They accused mismanagement on the University’s part and said many students could not submit examination forms because the link had been opened for a very short time. Members met vice-chancellor and Member of Parliament Chintamani Malviya and requested them to solve their problem soon.
