Ujjain: Panchkroshi yatra begins from Friday

Ujjain: Hundreds of pilgrims began arriving in the holy city to participate in the traditional Panchkroshi yatra. The 118-km yatra will begin on Friday and last till April 26. The administration has ensured adequate arrangements for devotees on all main halts and sub halts.

Tents, drinking water, fair price shops, milk, beddings, temporary hospitals and medicines will be provided to devotees at Pingleshwar, Karohan, Ambodiya, Durdeshwar, Undasa, Nalwa and Kaliyadeh during the journey.

Temporary police control rooms have been setup at all halting places. Control rooms have also made arrangements to provide information on missing persons. The police force has been deployed en route for security purposes. Home guards and life guards have also been deployed at river banks.

Nonstop supply of electricity

Madhya Pradesh Pakshim Kshetra Vidyut Vitaran Company assured uninterrupted supply of power from April 21 to April 26. Generators have been installed at stopping points of the journey. Collector in-charge Ashish Singh appealed to the people to avail all facilities provided by the administration and complete the journey on time.
