Ujjain: Local MP Chintamani Malviya raised the issue of negligence in Grasim Industries Nagda in Parliament and sought constitution of a probe committee to investigate the same in wake of the death of a labourer. He demanded strict action against the culprits.
Malviya drew attention of the House towards frequent casualties of poor labourers in the industry due to negligence of Grasim Industries management under Regulations 377. He stated that the labourers were compelled to live a pitiable life. Labourer Hariom, 40, son of Ramlal died due to poisonous gas in the factory. Ten other labourers were also affected by the incident.
The gas emitting from the industry is polluting the ambience and the chemical waste is not disposed of properly.
