Ujjain: High level police meet calls for quick action on unsolved cases

Ujjain: A review meeting held at the office of the Inspector General (IG) on Wednesday, called for  rapid action on unsolved and pending cases of loot, chain snatching, thefts and missing persons, during the years  2014- 2017, till the month of April. IG V Madhukumar, instructed officials to speed up investigations on murder, theft and FIRs related to heinous and sensational crimes. Pending cases related to missing girls and women was also looked into.  An action plan was chalked out for illegal weapons holders.  Officials were instructed to finish investigations on time limit, with regards to women of scheduled caste and scheduled tribes.

Officials also suggested using the budget allotted, wisely and on time. Senior officials  sought immediate action on disputes over potable water and fire incidents. The police administration also chalked out an action plan to deal with elements who disturbed marriage programmes due to casteism, and called for maintaining law and order while launching encroachment removal drives. The meeting was attended by the DIG Ratlam range, Avinash Sharma, SPs Manohar Singh Verma (Ujjain) Anshuman Singh (Dewas), Monika Shukla (Shajapur) RS Meena (Agar) Amit Singh (Ratlam) OP Tripathi (Mandsaur) and Manoj Singh (Neemuch).
