Ujjain: City BJP celebrates 11 years of Chouhan government


Ujjain: The 11th anniversary of Chief Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan government was celebrated with great fervour and zest by leaders and workers of the BJP on Tuesday. A beneficiary conference was organised in 54 wards across the city. Differently abled people were felicitated and sweets were shared by party workers on the occasion.

Energy minister Paras Jain attended the beneficiary conferences held at Begampura ward-29, Peeplinaka Gokuldham ward-2, Fazalpura ward-16 and Nijatpura ward-19. He highlighted the various social welfare schemes implemented by the State government. Certificates of the Ladali Lakshmi Scheme were distributed on this occasion.

Media in-charge Sachin Saxena said around 700 to 800 beneficiaries were present at each conference hosted in the wards. District president Iqbal Singh Gandhi threw light on the successful tenure of the Chief Minister in his address. Speaking to the media, Gandhi said, the popularity of the CM was proof of the people’s trust in him, which had only strengthened constantly during his long tenure. It was also witnessed in the by elections, he said.
