Ujjain: Two brothers were brutally killed by members of a neighbouring family on Saturday night at Dhobi Gali, near Budhwariya.
Vishal Lashkari, alias Balla and his brother Ravi Lashkari, residents of Dhobi Gali, Budhwariya were brutally killed over a long standing dispute with the Lashkari family by their neighbour Jitendra Kushwaha, Vivek Kushwaha, Prabha Kushwaha and three minor sons of Jitendra Kushwaha with swords and knives. Both brothers died on the spot. The accused smashed the faces of the deceased with stones. According to Kotwali police authorities, Vishal was stabbed 18 times, while eight deep wounds were found on Ravi’s body.
Neighbours stated that there had been violent disputes between the two families, in the past too and reports were also lodged with the Kotwali police station. Neighbours said Kushwaha was a street vendor who sold ‘chaats, and ‘golgappe’ on handcarts and parking of these handcarts was the main issue for the dispute.
The funeral procession of both brothers was held from the civil hospital, where post-mortem of the bodies was performed. A huge police force was deployed to deal with any untoward incident. Talking to Free Press, Kotwali police stated that Vivek (21), son of Jitendra Kushwaha and Prabha wife of Jitendra Kushwaha were arrested, while Jitendra Kushawaha and others absconded after the incident.
