Ujjain: Book on life of Sultan Shah released

Ujjain: A book on life of Pradesh Congress Committee former secretary Sultan Lala Shah was launched in a mushayara event organised by Ruhani Academy. Famous Urdu poet of Ujjain, Shabbir Ahmad Aarzu has authored thethe book ‘Shamama’ that outlines the struggles faced by Sultan Shah in the course of his life. Sultan Shah was also honoured at the event and was presented with a shawl and turban.

The event was presided over by corporator Maya Trivedi and chief guest was journalist Anil Singh Chandel. Special guests were Rajhujur Singh Gaur, Syed Aabid Ali Mir and Salimbhai Kabadi. Many Urdu poets, including Naeem Akhtar Khadmi, Sarfaraz Massom, Hasan Kamaal, Maksud Ashraf and Sufiyana Kazi, recited their poems in the mushayara.

The event was attended by Abdul Raheem Lala, Kalim Shaikh, Mehmood Lala, Shakeel Patwari, Mehtab Lala, Sikandar Lala, Akhtar Baig and other members of the Muslim community. Dr Jiyarana conducted the event. Mohammad Noor Falak proposed a vote of thanks.
