Ujjain: BJP’s meeting held ahead of Independence Day

Ujjain: General meeting of district Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) was conducted in the presence of veteran leaders Babulal Jain and Diwakar Natu at its party office on Friday. The upcoming Independence Day programme was finalized in the meeting. The party will also conduct a 7 day acupressure camp at its office from Saturday.

A ‘tiranga yatra’ will be held on Monday, while the party’s youth wing will hold a ‘mashal’ rally on the same evening at 7:30 pm, informed Amay Apte. The ‘mashal’ rally, in which hundreds of party workers will participate will begin from the party office and conclude at Shaheed Park. Functions will be held on all 583 polling booths to mark the birth anniversary of Kushabhau Thakre, from Wednesday to Friday. On Independence Day, flag hoisting will be held at Chhatri Chowk.

General secretary Rajendra Jhalani delivered the welcome speech. Newly inducted chairman of MP Pharmacy Council, Om Jain and president of women’s wing, Rajani Upadhyay were also honoured after the meeting. Roop Pamnani, MLA Mohan Yadav, Mayor Meena Jonwal, Jagdish Agrawal, Sonu Gehlot, Ashok Prajapat and others were present. Suresh Giri conducted the meeting and Buddhivilas Upadhyay proposed the vote of thanks.
