Ujjain: Bharat Mata’s statue to be unveiled on Jan 4


Ujjain: A statue of Bharat Mata will be unveiled in newly constructed Bharat Mata Temple on Madhav Seva Nyas premises on January 4 at 6 pm. RSS chief Mohan Bhagwat, Vatsalyagram superintendent Sadhavi Ritambhara and RSS general secretary Bhaiyya Joshi will attend the ceremony. Sculptures and temple makers will also be awarded in the event.

Nyas president Girish Bhalerao, treasurer Vijay Kevaliya and secretary Pradeep Agrawal said that Shobha Yatra of Bharat Mata will be taken out on January 3 from Madhav College at 3 pm. It will reach Bharat Mata Temple via Malipura, Daulatganj, Kanthal and Gopal Mandir. All new and old members of the Sangh, prominent office-bearers of all societies, donors and associates have been invited for this programme.

They also informed that on the first floor of the temple have a meditation centre, hall for yoga/exercise and a library. The second floor has an auditorium with a seating capacity of 120 people. Here a documentary of thirty minutes showing city’s religious, cultural and mythological history is planned to be shown to the pilgrims. The third floor has an 11 feet tall idol of Bharat Mata sitting on a 4 feet pedestal.

The temple has a total of five doors. These doors are being made of rosewood and are creafted by Ramjilal, Gangadhar Jangid and team from Udaipur Vati. The doors have glasses so that people can see the idol even after the doors get closed at 11 pm.
