Ujjain: Rishi-Muni publications launched the ‘Avantika Panchang’ in the city on Tuesday. The event was held at the office of the publication house and the ‘panchang’ was launched by former divisional commissioner and former vice-chancellor of Panini Sanskrit University, Mohan Gupt. Social worker, Harish Maheshwaari and Swayamprakash Soni were also present at the event.
In his address, Dr Mohan Gupt threw light on the ‘panchang’ system and explained that the ‘Avantika Panchang’ had been developed using elaborated mathematical work involving high level geometry. This ‘panchang’, he said had been accepted throughout India because of its precision, developed by most experienced specialists in the field. Earlier, publisher Pushkar Baheti welcomed the guests.
