Ujjain: Akhand Bharat Diwas was celebrated by hosting a series of events in the city. State general secretary of Vishwa Hindu Parishad (VHP) Brijkishore Bhargava administered oath of ‘Akhand Bharat pledge day’. The nation is divided, he said and called on including Pakistan to make it complete. Bhargava was the chief orator.
The pledge day was celebrated on Sharma Parisar at Dewas Road. Mahamandleshwar Shanti Swaroopanand Maharaj was the chief guest.
Ashok Jain Chaywale, state convenor of Bajarang Dal Mahesh Anjana and Anil Jain were also present. A rally was also taken out after the meeting. Hundreds of volunteers participated in the rally that reached Madhv Seva Nyas where aarti of Bharatmata was conducted at Bharta Mata temple. Suman Mali, Surendra Yadav, Yeshwant Singh, Darshan Parmar, Bhupendr Singh and other volunteers of Bajrang Dal were present.
Regional convener of Vishwa Hindu Parishad Durga Vahini Malasingh Thakur said that ‘Akhand Bharat Diwas’ is celebrated annually from August 12 to August 14. “Unified India is a must for nation’s growth,” she added. District convener Priyankasingh Parmar, Rama Pandya, Ashok Jain, Vinod Sharma, Soni Gupta, Kajal Jhanjhot and Priti Prajapati were also present. The programme was organised at Government Girls Middle School, Dussehra Maidan and Government School of Excellence Madhav Nagar.
