Ujjain: A 14-year-old boy drowned in river Kshipra while taking a dip at Narsing Ghat on Monday afternoon. According to details received, Pravisht Sengar, resident of Gaziabad in UP, drowned after performing worship of kalsarp dosh at the ghat. On hearing cries for help of his family members, home guards and life guards rushed to the spot and tried to save him but could not. Mahakal police station staff reached the spot and registered a case and after post mortem handed over the body to the family members. Total 39 people reportedly died this year in the river due to lack of safety measures at the river’s bank.
