Ujjain : In the eleventh World Hindi Convention to be organised in Mauritius this month, Vikram University proctor Prof Shailendra Kumar Sharma will present lecture on “Hindi, world and Indian Culture: New Perspectives”.
The convention has been organised by government of India and Mauritius government from August 18 to August 20, 2018. Specific articles of Prof Sharma have been selected by a high level expert committee set up by the ministry of external affairs, government of India. Vishva Hindi Sammelan is organized every four years in different parts of the world
In the past, Prof Sharma presented lectures and articles in international conferences and seminars held in Bangkok, Thailand and Sydney, Australia. The inauguration of this three-day conference will be performed in Mauritius on August 18, by prime minister Praveen Kumar Jagannath and external affairs minister, government of India, Sushma Swaraj.
Rajbhasha Sanghash Samiti convener Dr Anil Junwal said, “For three decades, continuously active in research and writing Prof Sharma has made significant contributions in the field of language, literature and culture. He has written and edited more than thirty books including vocabulary-related Indian and Western concepts and Hindi poetry, Devanagari discussions, Hindi language structure, Malwi language and literature, Ujjain region and Simhastha. He has published more than 250 research and review essays in research journals.”
