Ujjain : Police administration on Friday shared the preparations being done for the upcoming Simhastha Fair-2016 with people’s representatives, police control room. Suggestions were sought from people’s representatives to improve the overall arrangements being managed by the police department.
SP MS Verma delivered a power point presentation detailing the preparations for Simhastha Fair-2016 before the public representatives. He discussed all the points of preparations with the representatives and invited their suggestions. SP gave detailed information about ghats of Simhastha baths, estimated visitors taking baths at ghats as per their area every day, management of camp venues of Akharas of saints and bath arrangements of Akharas, Panch Kroshi yatra, traffic routes at the time of Simhastha Fair for visitors, railway, flying station, challenges for police and their preparations, security of religious spots, organizations and hospitals, crowd management, emergency plan, satellite towns and others.
IG V Madhukumar gave information about the training being imparted to police officials and employees for Simhastha. He told that around 6327 police officials and employees have been trained in three day training session. Policemen were imparted training to maintain polite attitude with visitors while performing their duty. People’s representatives gave suggestions which include limitation of police stations, police check-post at villages Ninora, Chintaman and Bamora, encroachment at highway, deployment of security guards at prime hotels located on main roads, extension of ghats at Shani temple, linking of outer ring road to inner one, traffic system at Chimanganj Mandi square, temporary encroachment and others.
Minister Paras Jain, Member of Parliament Chintamani Malviya, MLAs Mohan Yadav, Anil Firozia, Zila Panchayat president Mahesh Parmar, ASPs Pankaj Shrivastava, Manok Kedia, Dr Asit Yadav and others were present at the meeting.
