Police drive: 360 vehicles seized

Police were tough on twowheeler riders on Rang Panchami day and seized 360 vehicles during checking drive. The seized vehicles would be released only after completion of legal formalities.

According

to Pradeep Singh Chouhan, DSP ( Traffic), the police had erected barricades all over the city to maintain law and order situation on Rang Panchami.


More then 180 police personnel were deployed at these barricades before 8 am and began the drive against two- wheeler riders.

Chouhan said all twowheelers with three occupants were stopped and seized. Similarly, two- wheelers whose riders were found in inebriated state were also seized. He said that during the drive, which lasted the whole day, the police seized 360 vehicles and parked them in traffic police station.

He said all the seized vehicle would be released through the court after legal action.
