Panwasa to get water supply pipeline after 2 years of struggle

Ujjain : Leader of Opposition in UMC, Rajendra Vashishtha, informed that municipal commissioner has sanctioned a project for installation of water supply pipeline for city’s Panwasa area. The project estimated cost is Rs 110 lakhs. He said that residents of Panwasa area along with corporator Atmaram Malviya have been struggling for the water supply pipeline for the past two years but mayor Meena Jonwal had not sanctioned it.

Rajendra Vasishtha alleged that when the municipal commissioner sanctioned the water supply pipeline the mayor stepped in the forefront and performed ‘bhumi pujan’ of the project to take credit. He also raised concern about the issue of cattle which are posing traffic disruptions in whole city. Vashishtha, along with residents and party members organised a symbolic yagna and prayed to god for providing good sense to Jonwal. Ajit Singh Thakur, Santosh Rana, Jitendra Trivedi, Parasuram Jat and other members were present.
