National Drama festival in city from July 18-23 Plays to be staged in 5 languages


Ujjain : National School of Drama, New Delhi and Kalidas Sanskrit Academy’s cultural department will jointly organize a national drama festival at Pt Suryanarayan Vyas Sanskritik sankul from July 18 to 23 at 7 pm. Kalidas Academy director, Anand Sinha informed that the plays will be staged in 5 languages Sanskrit, Hindi, Punjabi, Manipuri and Malayalam and will be directed by renowned theatre directors of India.

m Sanskrit play ‘Shankuntalam’ by Sopanam, Tiruvananthapuram, on July 19.

m Sanskrit play ‘Malivikagnimitram’ by Gyanpravah, Varanasi, on July 20.

m Malayalam play ‘Karnabharam’ by Lokdharmi theatre, Kerala, on July 21.

m Punjabi play ‘Mrichhkatik’ by Manch Rangmanch, Amritsar on July 22.

m Manipuri play ‘Urubhangam’ by Chorus Repertory Theatre, Manipur on July 23.
