Massive turnout at career fair, students offered multiple opportunities


Ujjain : On the first day of the career fair jointly organised by the Ujjain administration and employment office on Saturday, more than 900 students were selected for preliminary round interviews out of a total 1761 registrations. The fair is being organised at Haat Market, below Mahakal over bridge.

A workshop on entrepreneurship was also conducted for students. 155 students were selected by Insurance companies. Students of Agar-Malwa and Shajapur districts participated in the fair along with students from Ujjain. Twelve companies will offer jobs at their Ujjain offices for those students who do not wish to relocate. Companies like LIC, SBI, Reliance life, Max life and Exide life, made offers for part time jobs.

On March 19, graduate, post graduate, and diploma holders will participate in the recruitment process. Maharashtra based company Yashaswi Academy for skills will recruit 500 ITI diploma holders and 12th passed students. Job offers for security guards, machine operators, technicians, managers, call centre executives and marketing executives will be made by the companies like Khadi Gramodyog, DTIC and others.
