Bhopal: Madhya Pradesh has been selected for ” National egovernance Award” for its initiatives in the IT sector. The award will be given to the state during the
two- day 15th national conference on e- governance to be held at Bhubaneshwar from February 10. Chief Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan has congratulated the officials whose efforts have led to the honour for the state.
Matsya Utsav to showcase fish- world in Bhopal
Bhopal: Matsya Utsav and Machhua Panchayat will be held here from February 4 to 6. Machhua Panchayat will be held on February 4 during the mega event. Chief Minister Chouhan will interact with fishermen at Machhua Panchayat and listen to their problems. MP Prabhat Jha, Water Resources Minister Jayant Malaiya, Commerce & Industries Minister Kailash Vijayvargiya, Panchayats & Rural Development Minister Gopal Bhargava, Farmersalt39 Welfare & Agriculture Development Minister Dr Ramkrishna Kusmaria, Fisheries Minister Ajay Vishnoi and about 10,000 fishermen will take part in the event.
Chhattisgarh Director, Fisheries Virendra Shukla will also attend the Panchayat.
Sports activities of labourers to be expanded Bhopal: Sports activities of labourers in the state are being expanded further. With this in view, a decision has been taken to organise state- level competitions of various sports.
Madhya Pradesh Labour Welfare Board will organise first of such competitions at Nagda in Ujjain district on February 25 and 26. According to Labour Welfare Board Chairman Bhagwandas Gondane, 600 labourer from Bhopal, Indore, Ujjain, Gwalior and Jabalpur along with Satna district will take part in 10 state- level sports competitions to be held at Nagda.
Womans panel to hold jt benches Bhopal: Madhya Pradesh Woman Commission will hold public hearing/ joint benches in various districts in February and March for redressing womens problems.
The commission will organise joint benches at Sagar, Guna, Ashok Nagar, Panna, Sidhi, Umaria and Bhopal in February and Bhind, Morena, Dewas, Dhar, Bhopal, Mandla, Balaghat, Singrauli and Katni in March.
Commissions members Snehlata Upadhyay and Vandana Mandavi will hear the problems on February 9 and 10. Similarly, Commission Chairperson Upma Rai and member Shashi Sinho will hold a joint bench on February 16 and 17, Smt. Upma Rai and Sushri Jyoti Yevatikar at Panna on February 23 and 24, Vandana Mandavi and Snehlata Upadhyay on February 22, 23 and 24 and Chairperson Upma Rai will hold a hearing at Bhopal on February 29.
Police force equipped with modern resources Bhopal: Availability of buildings, vehicles, weapons, computers and other equipments have been ensured in Madhya Pradesh. By 2010- 11, funds of Rs 876 crore were allocated under the scheme out of which Rs 814 crore have been utilised. Following implementation of the scheme, the homeowner percentage rate has gone up to 31. At present, vehicles are available with every police station in the state.
