BHOPAL: A seminar on alt39 Open Sources Library Softwarealt39 will be held at Centre for Research and Industrial Staff Performance ( CRISP) on January 29. The seminar, which intends to apprise the participants with the fast changing scenario in the field of information science, would be beneficial for people and students related to library science.

Saifia old boysalt39 get- together on Sunday

Saifia Old Boys Association, Bhopal will organise a get together on January 22 in the auditorium of Old Saifia College. Students of the college from 1965 to 1990 will take part in the function, informed S M Suleman.

Two IPS get senior time scale

The state government has approved senior time pay scale to IPS officers of 2007 batch namely, Ruchika Jain, Commandant 17th battalion, SAF Bhind and Sachin Atulkar, superintendent of police, Balaghat.

Like every year, folk festival alt39 Bharat Parvalt39 will be held in the evening of Republic Day on January 26, 2012 at the district headquarters. Exhibitions will also be organised on the occasion. Besides, a function focussing on Apna Madhya Pradesh and patriotism, a pictorial exhibition, programmes of music, dance drama and poetry will also be held on the occasion. The arrangements for sending artistes for Bharat Parv at district headquarters will be shouldered by Swaraj Sansthan Bhopal, an undertaking of Madhya Pradesh governments Culture Department.

PCC now has 11 spokespersons

PCC president Kantilal Bhuria has appointed Trilok Deepani ( Bhopal), Narendra Saluja and Sheikh Aleem ( both of Indore) as the state spokesperson of the party.

With this the total number of spokesperson has become 11, informs PCC spokesperson Pramod Gugalia.

Sagar Khanal tops in CA exam

Sagar Khanal has attained first rank in Bhopal and third in Madhya Pradesh in Common Proficiency Test ( CPT) organised by Institute of Chartered Accountants of India ( ICAI) in December 2011. A native of Nepal, Khanal came to Bhopal four months ago to prepare for CPT to get admission in CA. Khanal has been congratulated by his friends and members of Nepali community including Dr Jeevlal Sapkota, Shanta Sapkota, Neeraj Mishra, Rakesh Thakur and others.

MPSEB engineers protest

MPSEB engineers across the state staged demonstration on Friday, protesting state governments policies.

Several engineers gathered at Shymala Hills, outside chief minister Shivraj Singh Chauhans residence and handed over memorandum. They demanded cancellation of appointment of state administrative service officers in the power company on senior posts, no change in service conditions of new staff and creation of posts of chairman- cum- management director in transmission and generation companies and appointment of fullfledged executive directors in power companies.

Sindhi literary fest today

alt39 Sindhi Adabi Mehfil- 2alt39 will be organised in the auditorium of Swaraj Sansthan, under the aegis of Sindhi Sahitya Academy on Saturday, on the occasion of martyrdom day of Hemu Kalani. Besides recitation of stories, the contribution of Hemu Kalani will be remembered in the function. Gopu Golani from Indore, Jhammu Chugani and Ashok Manwani will recite short stories. Dev Jhurani will be the chief guest. Laxman Das Keswani will preside over the function.

The Haj pilgrims will be felicitated in a function organised under the aegis of alt39 Aman Biradarialt39 on Saturday at Railway Grounds. Congress state president Kantilal Bhuria will be the chief guest in the function while National Minorities Education Commission chairman justice MSA Siddiqui will preside. Aman Biradari national convener Dr Mahendra Singh Chauhan said Haj pilgrims from the city as well as divisional headquarters will take part in the function.
