Orphans of silicosis wait for succour

It is worth mentioning that a review meeting called by NHRC on June 10, over the issue, in which the top official of MP government, was also present , the government assured proper rehabilitation of the affected families and kids. Further according to the sources, the government is also planning to coming up with a law on silicosis. ‘Madhya Pradesh government has taken some initiatives for the rehabilitation of the affected families and a survey is also going on in this regard but till now nothing concrete has came out’, Nidhi said.

Mohanty heading for further trouble

an Independent MLA from Ratlam is said to have submitted a question to the assembly secretariat seeking to know as to why the government had not yet permitted the Economic Offence Wing ( EOW) to file chargesheet against Mohanty in the Rs 700 crore ICD scam. The question will come up in the ensuing Monsoon session of the Vidhan Sabha. The three month deadline for filing of chargesheet by EOW, set by the apex court, expired in February this year. A senior IAS officer in Mantralaya, pleading anonymity told Free Press that if the ICD scam was raised in Vidhan Sabha, the state government might be forced to secure the requisite permission for the EOW. Once the EOW files the chargesheet, the government will have to suspend Mohanty.

Digvijay trying to save Bhurias …

Sources claimed that by ensuring that Bhuria should be deprived of the ministers post, Pachauri is hoping to become a central minister.

However, Digvijay wants that Pachauri should not become the central minister. And thats why he is lobbying to secure Bhurias ministerial berth.

Vigilance team swoops on…

It is learnt that two MLAs, one of them elected from Bhopal, had made a series of complaints against the alleged misbehaviour of passport officer LN Baghela and about the functioning of the office. The raids were carried out in two phases. The second phase raid of commenced after 1.30 pm and at that time, several incriminating documents were seized.
