BJP vice-president Jha in city


Ujjain : National vice president of Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) and Rajya Sabha member Prabhat Jha paid obeisance at Shri Mahakaleshwar Temple on Saturday. MLA Mohan Yadav, BJP district head Iqbal Singh Gandhi and other public representatives were also present.

The administrator of Shri Mahakaleshwar Temple Management Committee (MTMC), SS Rawat felicitated him with a stole and offerings at the temple premises.

Later Jha participated in the ‘Vikram Amrit Mahotsav’ as the chief guest which was held at Vikram Kirti Mandir by ‘Vikramaditya shodhpeeth’ (Swaraj Sansthan directorate of the cultural department of Madhya Pradesh Government).

During his speech Jha glorified king Vikramaditya. Jha also visited the office of ‘shodhpeeth’. The director of Maharaja Vikramaditya shodhpeeth, Dr Bhagwatilal Rajpurohit stated that the ‘shodhpeeth’ had quelled many doubts regarding historical facts of King Vikramaditya.

Collector Sanket Bhondve and Dr Prashant Puranik were also present. The guests were welcomed by famous poet Dinesh Diggaj who also conducted the programme. The vote of thanks was extended by Dr Raman Solanki.

Jha raises doubts on Election Commission decision

Prabhat Jha raised doubts on the decision of the the Election Commission declaring election of Narottam Mishra from Datia seat invalidated.

However, he did not comment on the decision of the High Court which validated the decision of the Election Commission. He strongly supported Narottam Mishra, saying he was a deserving party leader.

Save farmers from Congress leaders: Jha

Commenting on the violent ‘Kisan Andolan’ in Ujjain and Malwa region, Jha said farmers should be saved from provocation by Congress leaders.

Jha was welcomed by district BJP head, Iqbal Singh Gandhi, Suresh Giri, Virendra Kavadiya, Om Jain, Dinesh Jatawa and Sachin Saxena.
