Arrested leaders at Maruti released

Three leaders of agitating workers at the Maruti Suzukis Manesar plant, arrested on Sunday, were released on Tuesday, even as industry leaders from the area went into a huddle to discuss ways how to prevent labour trouble f

rom spreading in the automobile hub.

The leaders of the unrecognised Maruti Suzuki Employeesalt39 Union were released on bail, their counsel Rajender Pathak said here.


Worried over the impact of over three- week unrest at the Maruti Suzuki Indias ( MSI) Manesar plant, functionaries of major firms held a meeting yesterday to consider ways how to avoid a similar situation in their units. MSI Chairman R C Bhargava was believed to be at the meeting, which was also attended by Bony Polymers Managing Director Raj Bhatia, and others.
