CLP leader Ajay Singh has demanded the government to give dearness allowance of 96 months and arrear of 36 months to three lakh pensioners of the state. He also demanded to withdraw the appeal against pensi

oners pending in the Supreme Court besides providing better treatment and medicines to them.

Singh said that the BJP had declared to fulfill the demands of 3 lakh pensioners in its election manifesto but failed to keep the promise.

He said that the government has not distributed 96 months DA to the pensioners.

The government has not paid heed to repeated requests by the pensioners.

The pensioners approached High Court for DA and the court gave decision in their favour. The government challenged the decision in the Supreme Court and since then the issue is pending.

Singh said that more than 50 thousand widows are suffering loss of Rs 475 per month as the government had deducted the said amount from minimum pension of Rs 3500 for the widows. The government has also not distributed 32 months arrear under the sixth pay commission to the pensioners.

He said that adequate budget is available for treatment and medicine of pensioners but they are not being provided good treatment or medicine.

Singh said that the BJP government has used the people as vote bank and the CM Shivraj Singh Chauhan has not proved true to his words. However, Congress will fight for their rights and they will get their rights when Congress comes to power.
