    32-year-old cop commits suicide in Maharashtra’s Yavatmal district

    Mumbai: A 32-year-old police naik allegedly committed suicide by shooting himself today in Maharashtra’s Yavatmal district, a police official said. Anis Patel, in-charge of the riot control police, allegedly shot himself in the head with his service pistol in the Pusad police station complex in Yavatmal, located around 600 km from here, he said.

     Yavatmal : A man has been arrested in Yavatmal district for allegedly forging the documents of a plot of land belonging to a local farmer and selling it to another person, police said on Saturday. Arif Ali Abid Ali (35) was arrested on Friday after farmer Prashant Mankar Wankhede complained that his plot of land had been sold to another person identified only as Yadav, a senior police official said.
