    New Delhi: Indian football team produced an impressive performance to beat Pakistan 4-0 in an AFC U-16 Women’s Championship Qualifier match in Ulan Bator, Mongolia, on Wednesday. Avika Singh (22nd minute) opened the scoring for India before the Pakistani goalie Ayesha (43rd) conceded an own goal just before half time. Sunita Munda (82nd) added one while skipper Shilky Devi (88th) also entered her named in the score sheet.

  • Indian women to tour Sri Lanka for ICC Women’s Championship

    Dubai: The Indian women’s team will tour Sri Lanka from September 11 to 16 for the third round of the ICC Women’s Championship, cricket’s governing body announced on Monday. The bottom four sides in the points table — Sri Lanka, India, West Indies and South Africa — will look to make up ground on Australia, England, Pakistan and leaders New Zealand in the race to qualify for the ICC Women’s World Cup 2021.

  • Maharashtra Wins Women’s C’ship Award

    Mumbai : Maharashtra won the women’s championship with 148 points underlying the strong overall performance from the Girls at the 70th Glenmark Senior National Aquatic Championship 2016. The Swimming team championship was won by Railways in the Men’s with a total of 175 points, Karnataka won the overall swimming championships with 246 points.
