  • Indore: Congress demands probe against ‘Mamaji’, VIPs in Vyapam scam

    Indore: Over 100 Congress party activists led by working president Vinay Bakliwal staged demonstration against ruling BJP government over Vyapam and other recruitment scam on Thursday. They raised slogans against government and demanded high level investigation into gross irregularities committed in recruitment made in different state government departments during tenure of chief minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan.

  • Bhopal: Vyapam PMT 2012 case

    Bhopal: The Madhya Pradesh High Court on Wednesday granted bail to five persons accused in Vyapam PMT-2012 scam. The court accepted the bail plea of Chirayu Medical College chairman Dr Ajay Goenka, People’s Medical College chairman Vijay Kumar Ramnani and director Ashok Naganth Rao, LN Medical college admission in-charge Dr DK Sathpathi and Dr Ravi Saxena.

    Bhopal: The twelve-day Winter Session of state assembly is going to start from Monday and will conclude on December 8. The session is going to be stormy as Congress is all set to corner state government on issues, including Vyapam and Bhavantar yojna and increasing crimes against
    women. During the Winter Session, ten sessions will be held at the Assembly. Recently the CBI had submitted the charge sheet of the Vyapam PMT-2012.

  • Bhopal: Ex-minister Laxmikant Sharma’s nephew commits suicide

    Bhopal: A 30-year-old man committed suicide in Riviera Township Phase II, which falls under the limit of Kamla Nagar police station. The man who committed suicide on Tuesday has been identified as Vibhore Dube, who is said to be nephew of Vyapam accused and former state culture minister Laxmikant Sharma. The deceased lived in the house alone with a servant called Gopesh Kurmi.

    Indore: Results of MP BEd, MEd and MPEd entrance tests were released by Madhya Pradesh Professional Examination Board (MPPEB) also known as Vyapam on Thursday. All those who have appeared in the tests can check their respected result on Vyapam’s official website at www.vyapam.nic.in. The BEd, MEd entrance tests were held on May 27, 2017 and MPEd and BPEd on May 28, 2017. Around 50,000 students had appeared in BEd

  • Bhopal: Saklecha to move High Court against 315 students

    BHOPAL: Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) is conducting inquiry against the 319 students who had taken admission in the government medical colleges of the state, after the Supreme Court dismissed the admissions of 634 students. These students had taken admission through unfair means. In 2012, the Special Task Force had registered case against the 319 students. Later the case was transferred to CBI in 2015 on the directives of the Supreme Court.

  • Bhopal: CBI arrests man in Vyapam fraud

    BHOPAL: Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) on Thursday arrested Harpal Singh of Khidora village in Morena district in a case related to Vyapam. The accused did not appear in the court even after receipt of notice at the time of filing of supplementary charge-sheet on April 10 and a non-bailable warrant was issued against him. He was a candidate for PCRT Examination 2012 conducted by Vyapam and is charged with committing irregularities.

  • Bhopal: Fake candidates in police net

    BHOPAL: Around dozen ‘munna bhais’ tried to get selected in the police department, but finally got in police web. In 2016, 11,200 constables’ and other posts were filled through exam conducted by Professional Examination Board, better known Vyapam. The recent selection exam pattern developed by Vyapam had filtered the fake and original candidates to get selected in the job.

  • Bhopal: Munna Bhai in Vyapam exam nabbed

    BHOPAL: One more Munna Bhai is under police scanner. Identified Ravi Pratap Singh of Bhind district, the accused failed in the first exam of police recruitment conducted by Vyapam, but prepared a fake passing certificate and appeared for medical examination, where he was traced by the selection committee.

  • Indore: Proposal to outsource CET may be tabled

    Indore: In an unprecedented move, Devi Ahilya Vishwavidyalaya (DAVV) may entrust responsibility of conducting common entrance test (CET) on Vyapam, which hogged national headlines over MPPMT and recruitment scams in 2013.
