  • Bhopal: Reduction in VAT on fuel will attract more flights, say operators

    Bhopal: The airline operators reiterated their old demand of reducing value added tax (VAT) on air fuel to increase air connectivity between Bhopal and other cities.  They also launched a veiled attack on the government saying that landing and parking approvals are not granted in time hampering increase in number of flights from the state capital.

    CPI(M) demands rollback of VAT hike on fuel in Delhi

    New Delhi: Opposing AAP government’s decision to increase VAT rates on fuel, CPI(M) today demanded the Arvind Kejriwal dispensation to stop playing “cynical games” with the public and withdraw the hike immediately. The Delhi unit of CPI(M) said the decision will trigger rise in prices of essential goods, pinching pockets of the ‘aam aadmi’.
