    Atal Bihari Vajpayee’s ashes to be immersed in all rivers of Uttar Pradesh

    Lucknow (Uttar Pradesh): Ashes of former Prime Minister Atal Bihari Vajpayee will be immersed in all the holy rivers of Uttar Pradesh, including Ganga, Yamuna, and Tapti, to respect his grand stature, the state government announced on Friday. Vajpayee, the 10th prime minister of India, breathed his last on Thursday evening. He was cremated on Friday with full state honour at Smriti Sthal in the national capital.

    Pratapgarh (UP): At least 26 women were found missing from two shelter homes in Pratapgarh during surprise checks conducted by the district administration, officials said today. During the inspection of Jagrati Shelter Home in Ashtbhuja Nagar, which is run by former district BJP Mahila Morcha Chief Rama Mishra, district magistrate Shambhu Kumar found that 15 women were registered but only one woman was present there, officials said.

    Muzaffarnagar: An Army jawan’s wife was found hanging from the ceiling of their home under mysterious circumstances in Shamli district of Uttar Pradesh, a police official said today. According to SHO Krishan Kumar, Shivani’s family has accused her husband and her in-laws of killing her yesterday and then hanging her body to show it as a case of suicide. The incident happened in Manat village under Thana Bhawan police station area.
