    Walnuts, soybean may prevent risk for diabetes

    Washington: Eating more unsaturated fats like walnuts and soybean in place of dietary carbohydrate can lowers blood sugar level and improve in the prevention and management of type-2 diabetes, according to a new study. The study provides evidence for the effects of dietary fats and carbohydrate on the regulation of glucose and insulin levels and several other metrics linked to type 2 diabetes.

    Boston: Replacing saturated fats like butter with unsaturated fats such as olive oil may help you live longer, a new study has claimed. Researchers from Harvard T H Chan School of Public Health in the US found that higher consumption of saturated and trans fats was linked with higher mortality compared with the same number of calories from carbohydrates.
