    Lucknow (Uttar Pradesh): Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) on Wednesday took Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) MLA Kuldeep Singh Sengar in three-day custody in connection with the rape of a minor girl. A case has also been filed against Unnao MLA Sengar on charges of criminal conspiracy for falsely implicating the rape victim’s father.

    Unnao rape case: CBI files progress report in Allahabad High Court

    Allahabad: The Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) on Monday filed a progress report in the Allahabad High Court in connection with the death of the father of a minor girl, who was allegedly raped by Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) MLA Kuldeep Singh Sengar last year. The next date of hearing is scheduled for May 30.

    New Delhi: The Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) on Monday booked Unnao Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) MLA Kuldeep Singh Sengar who is in police custody on charges of rape. The probe agency has filed a case against Sengar on charges of criminal conspiracy for falsely implicating rape victim’s father in a case.

    Unnao rape case: CBI submits status report before Allahabad High Court

    Allahabad: The CBI today submitted its progress report in the Unnao rape case before the Allahabad High Court and sought transfer of the case to Lucknow. The report was submitted in a sealed cover before a bench comprising Chief Justice D B Bhosale and Justice Suneet Kumar. The agency also filed an application seeking transfer of the case to Lucknow from Unnao.

    Kaushambi: A 14-year-old girl was allegedly raped in a village here by two youths, who have been arrested, police said today. The girl was allegedly lured by a woman of her village to a secluded spot and handed over to the youths, who raped her yesterday, Superintendent of Police (SP) Pratap Kumar Gupta said.
