    Jaipur: At least 45 calves were rescued from a truck in Chittorgarh district Tuesday, police said. Acting on a tip-off, the police checked the truck near a toll plaza which comes under the jurisdiction of Sadar police station, said Murali Das, the Assistant Sub-Inspector. Two people identified as Gopal and Rakesh, both hailing from Tonk district, were arrested under the Rajasthan Bovine Animal Act.

    Gujarat: 7 people killed, 24 injured in road accident near Bhavnagar-Somnath highway

    Amreli (Gujarat): At least seven people were killed and 24 others injured after a truck skidded off a bridge near Bhavnagar-Somnath highway in Gujarat’s Amreli district.     Eight mowed down by truck in Madhya Pradesh

    Jabalpur: At least eight persons were mowed down by a truck here on Sunday while three others were injured, two of them critically, police said. Superintendent of Police Kumar Saurabh said a group of persons was standing at a bus stop at Mankhedi village in Belkheda police station area when the truck laden with cement went out of control, ran over them and toppled .

    Mumbai: Truck affected Western Express Highway traffic for 5-hours

    Mumbai: People travelling on Western Express Highway (WEH) on both sides suffered as there was a huge traffic snarl that remained for five hours. The south bound traffic was worst affected.
