    The hike in prices of petrol and diesel and the agitation on amendment in SC/ST (Prevention of Atrocities) Act are proving dear to the state BJP government. People have forgotten ‘Sambal Yojana’ launched by Chief Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan for poor and distribution of bonus to the farmers under ‘CM Samridhi Yojana’ and they have started cursing the BJP on these issues.

    In a major jolt to Congress call for nationwide bandh, Karni Sena-Brahman Samaj, Samanya Pichchda Alpsankhyak Adhikari Avam Karamchari Sangh (SPAAKS) and Petrol pumps dealers Association, have declared that they will not support Congress’ call for bandh on Monday over fuel price hike.  Meting out tit for tat to the Congress they said that their decision hinges on the fact that Congress too had not supported their call for Bharat bandh on September

  • Bhopal: ‘Bharat Bandh’ remained peaceful but hit normal life

    Bhopal: Normal life was affected in the state capital as schools, commercial establishments, petrol pumps remained closed on Thursday  in wake of ‘Bharat Bandh’ called to protest against the amendments in SC/ST Prevention of Atrocities) Act. Extending their support to the bandh, business community pulled down their shutters voluntarily. Even petrol pumps dealers participated in the protest and kept their fuel stations shut. Banks and government offices functioned normally.
