    Mumbai: Launching a scathing attack on the BJP-led NDA government, Maharashtra Navnirman Sena (MNS) chief Raj Thackeray on Sunday called for opposition unity and a “Modi-mukt Bharat” by 2019. Addressing party workers at a rally at Shivaji Park in central Mumbai, Thackeray said, “The country is fed up with the false promises made by Narendra Modi and his government.”

    Mumbai: The Mumbai Police on Friday detained a woman along with her two sons while trying to enter Republic Day parade venue at Shivaji Park. She was reportedly aggrieved over husband’s custodial death and was planning to immolate herself. More details are awaited.

    Mumbai: As the followers return home after paying tribute to Dr. Babasaheb Ambedkar on his death anniversary at Shivaji Park Dadar, the Brihanmumbai Municipal Corporation (BMC) the next day itself took the clean-up drive and collected around 70 metric tonnes of garbage from the place. According to the information given by the Dadar (G north), civic ward officials, 1,500 clean up workers deployed to undertake the initiative.
