    Mumbai: Commuters travelling on Central Railways will breathe a sigh of relief as soon they will be able to take trains which will be originating at Parel station. Senior Railway official said they have reduced the deadline for completion of Parel terminus to December 2018 from March 2019.

    Mumbai Fire: Odontology expert helps identify badly-charred bodies

    Mumbai: Four people have been reported dead and 26 were injured in a major fire which occurred at the Crystal Tower residential apartments near Hindmata Cinema, Parel, on Wednesday morning. According to doctors, all four bodies have been identified, of which two were identified using the help of an accessories and forensic odontology expert. The injured have sustained minor burn injuries and are all stable now.

    Mumbai: The ground-plus 16-storey high rise Crystal Tower at Parel, a redevelopment project building, is located just opposite the BMC F-South ward office. The building has existed right under the nose of the BMC; yet it had never been granted an Occupational Certificate. So, it was for all intents and purposes, an unauthorised occupation.     Mumbai: Parel flyover closed after pipe bursts, causes traffic snarls

    Mumbai: The Parel flyover on Babasaheb Ambedkar Road in central Mumbai was closed for all vehicles on Thursday morning, after a water pipe burst near the entrance of the flyover and flooded the stretch. The incident was reported after 6.30 am. “As soon as we received the complaint, we started repair work immediately,” said a senior official from the Brihanmumbai Municipal Corporation’s (BMC) hydraulic department.
