    Mumbai: Five students from Navi Mumbai, who were reported missing from their school on Wednesday afternoon, were traced to the Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj Terminus (CSMT) on Thursday after a ticket examiner asked them for their tickets on Thursday. Rabale Police then obtained their custody from the Railway Police Force (RPF) of CSMT and handed them over to their respective parents.

    Cop killed in road accident in Navi Mumbai

    Mumbai: A 30-year-old traffic police constable died Wednesday after he was run over by a vehicle in Taloja area in Navi Mumbai, around 50 kms from here, the police said. The incident occurred at Nitalsar Phata (diversion) when the constable Atul Gagare was returning to the beat outpost after clearing a traffic congestion at around 5 AM, a police official said.     Mumbai: The Congress has objected to the appointment of Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) legislator Prashant Thakur as chairman of the City and Industrial Development Corporation (CIDCO). The party alleged Thakur is a CIDCO contractor and a beneficiary of various projects undertaken by CIDCO. The Congress claimed the appointment was ‘conflict of interest’ and demanded his removal from the post.

    Mumbai: The Navi Mumbai Crime Branch has taken over the probe into the death of a 21-year-old man there during the Maratha quota stir last week.     Mumbai: Nerul Police found the body of 17-year-old Mihir Mishra on Tuesday afternoon. Mihir, a student of Apeejay school at Nerul, had appeared for his Class 12 internal exams on July 19, after which he had sent a message to his father at 4.30pm on the same day, saying ‘U all take care, I will not bother u again’. Police suspect Mihir committed suicide.
