    Navi Mumbai Land Scam: CM Devendra Fadnavis order judicial inquiry

    Mumbai: The opposition on Thursday created a ruckus in the State Assembly over the City and Industrial Development Corporation (CIDCO) land scam allegations saying the Chief Minister (CM) Devendra Fadnavis was protecting the Bharatiya Janata Party leader. The CM thereafter announced a judicial inquiry into the alleged land allotment to Koyana Project Affected People (PAPs) in Navi Mumbai.

    Mumbai: A 33-year-old businessman was shot dead by two unidentified persons in the neighbouring Navi Mumbai township, a police official said today. The motorcycle-borne assailants fired at Shantaram Khatal, who owned a battery business, with a gun when he along with a relative was at the gate of his housing society in Kamothe area around 9.30 pm yesterday, he said.

  • Mumbai: 8 injured after bus overturns on Sion-Panvel Expressway

    Mumbai: At least eight people were injured after a school bus turned turtle in Mumbai on late Thursday night. The incident took place when the bus carrying 20 passengers overturned on Sanpada Bridge at Sion Panvel Expressway in Navi Mumbai around 11.30 pm. All the injured have been admitted to a local hospital. In a similar incident last month, where six children were injured after a school bus turned turtle in Chittorgarh.
